Thankfully, I'm a few years away from this, but most people assume that because you homeschool, your kids will not get to attend a prom. This couldn't be further from the truth! Our local homeschool support group has sponsored a homeschool prom for years now. Just one more of the many advantages to belonging to a support group!

Check your local support groups, you just might find that they have a prom as well. If they don't, then why don't you help to organize one? Now before you start to hyperventilate, just take things one step at a time.

• Plan your budget
• Find a venue
• Have a plan for the evening
• Have some sort of signup where the attendees can purchase their tickets
• Plan the decorations around a theme
• Delegate, delegate, delegate!!!

With planning and teamwork, your kids don't have to miss out just because they are homeschooled!
