Number Crunching Craziness…

It is spring and at our house and due to many reasons (wanting to play outside) we seem to have more difficulty with our subject matter. Math is one of the more frustrating ones during these days. Of course, I am trying all of the encouraging spring homeschooling methods such as doing school outside, playing review games, etc. It seems to help but still there is a back wall of frustration that we just can’t seem to get around. I have 15 years of experience as a teacher, and still I have times that I just don’t have answers. To be honest, it is quite painful to admit that my children just may need outside math help. I have a few options that we are going to try, and might be an encouragement to you as well:
1) Do as much as I can to make math fun!
2) Find some free online math sites for games and review…
3) Go back and do over some of the T4L math lessons we didn’t do well on…
4) Print the extra worksheets from T4L math section…
5) Find online or local math tutoring. (Maybe hearing it from someone else just might make it click!)
