Since we are in the month of November , I thought that it might be fun to share some crafts, traditions , favorite stories, etc for everyone to add to
I have two things that I wanted to share first
This first one is a link about American Indian medicine bags the importance of them and how to make one. We did this craft last year and the boys loved it! They wore them for weeks putting little pieces of Medicine in them (ok so it was skittles but they felt better after having them!)
Kids' Krafts: Special meaning in medicine bag - Wire - Lifestyle - bellinghamherald.com
The other thing that I wanted to share was a book that I found about two years ago that is a new favorite at our house!
it is a bit hard to find but the library usually has a copy!
The First Thanksgiving: Journey on the Mayflower
How To Make A Candy Christmas Wreath | How to save money and get out of debt - Living on a Dime
ok so this one is for xmas time BUT they mentioned Thanksgiving in it
This actually puts together a booklet based on the pages you choose -

4th of July
In honor of the 4th that is this weekend I wanted to share with all of you the cake I make every year its yummy!
Ok here's my favorite lite cake to make when it is hot!
1 package white or yellow cake mix (for two layers)
1 small package flavored gelatin, any flavor
1/3 cup oil
1 cup water (for the cake mix)
1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 cup water (for gelatin)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare cake, according to package directions, using eggs, oil and water. Bake cake in a 13x9-inch pan for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for at least 15 minutes.
Poke holes across the entire surface of cake with a fork.
Dissolve the gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Pour the warm gelatin slowly over the surface of the cake (gelatin will soak into the cake). Place cake in the refrigerator and chill for about 4 hours.
Spread whipped topping on top of cake before serving. Refrigerate leftover cake. I go a step further and usually sliced strawberries to make a US flag on the top of the whip cream, Strawberries for the stripes and blueberries for the stars
Very yummy even my picky son eats it, and yes I posted this before in the sharing but I wanted to repost for the 4th! Now post what foods you like to make for the 4th.....(oh check out my pic for last year's cake)
