Home school question

My son is in the middle part of his Junior year of High School and has run into a bit of trouble at school. We are considering home schooling him for the remaining portion of the year but don't know what we need to do to make that happen. If we aren't able to do this he may very well have to repeat his Junior year due to being too far behind by the time he goes back.
