Home schooling a 9th grader

Hello, my name is Melody. I'm new at time4learning. I would like to homeschool my son. I have contacted the district to tell that I would like to homeschool my son. The administrative assistant tole me that I have to write a letter of intent, followed by an IHIP. How do I go about doing that?

Hi, Melody. Click on the State Groups tab at the top of this page and select New York to join your state group. There, you can talk with other parents in your area. New York regulates its homeschoolers a bit more highly than most states, so it will be great for you to have that support. Good luck to you!
