    Default Spelling Assignments

Hello, everyone! I signed up about a month ago to homeschool my 9 year old and today is his first day of fourth grade. I printed out the full spelling list and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to tackle spelling. Should I work it into his lesson plans for the other subjects? Should we break down the words into syllables or even prefix, root, suffix to learn the full meaning and then reconstruct it? I feel like I'm probably overthinking it so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked out VocabularySpellingCity | Build Literacy Skills with Vocabulary and Spelling When my kids were younger I would plug the words in there and have them practice and test.
