I founded Time4Learning in 2004 and spent the first few years running the company out of my living room. I had programmers and designers coming to my house working freelance.
I spent two years personally answering the phones: Hello, Time4Learning. John here. How can I help you? I was always amused when people said that they wanted to speak to the President.
Today, we have over two dozen employees. The original programmer is our Chief Technical Officer and Jen, the first support person, runs operations for Time4Learning and the company.
A particularly exciting two weeks was when we came up with the name and the character. You can read about the creation of Ed Mouse on Ed's own site!
In 2007, after hearing many requests from parents for more help with teaching writing, we created online writing courses with certified teachers: Time4Writing.com.
Our school year (first grade) is ending soon. But i'd like to thank you for starting T4L. It made my homeschooling a lot easier, made my daughter learn faster. ( i wish you could start T4L's own library for the required reading material, and High School for other parents.) Keep up the good work , our family will continue using T4L.
Hi, I'm the founder of Time4Learning.com and Time4Writing.com.
I'm particularly pleased the parent community has become a useful forum for so many people.
I often lurk to hear what's on people's mind. And I like having such a useful place to get feedback on what we're doing.
BTW - do you like the art program, Time4Art? We provide it for free and we see that it gets lots of usage but we don't get that much feedback about it.
