    Default Homeschooling in Blount County

I have a grandson who want to home school in Blount County, Alabama. I heard that the county school board makes it difficult. I was active in home schooling about 15 years ago, but have lost all contacts.

    Starla,
I don't know how things have changed from 15 years ago, but as long as you have achurch school (cover/umbrella school) then it should not be difficult to homeschool. The best part is that your cover school is your connection with the state so you don't have to do this alone.
Your first step would be to find a cover school. You can look this up on the internet. You can pay as little or as much as you like depending on the services you need the cover school to provide.

I hope this helps, let us know if you have other questions!
