    Default Organizing Homeschool Records

Record-keeping is an important aspect of homeschooling. How do you decide what to keep and how do you keep everything organized?

We did the independent charter school for awhile so I'm using their record keeping plan. The state required monthly lesson plans and work samples from each subject from them, so I'm doing a monthly lesson plan(1pg) and then 1 worksheet, or sample of writing or a print out from T4L, per subject is stapled to the lesson plan at the end of the month(I try to pick the best one) and filed in the child's cummulative file(and kept forever). Anything else I staple together for that month and keep until the end of the summer.

Hope this helps, streamlining paper work makes teaching more enjoyable
