    Default hello

Hello, I am new to homeschooling. I have a question regarding my letter of intent.

I gave my letter of intent to begin homeschool on October 10th. Do I have to leave my child in public school until that date?

    Thanks
    Anne

Colorado law states that the letter of intent must be filed at least 14 days prior to beginning your homeschool program. I wouldn't think you have to leave your child in until you begin, but you will need to make sure to complete 172 days of instruction (you should be able to count days already spent in public school).

You can read more about Colorado homeschool laws here and here.
    Joyfully,
    Jackie

Thanks, I just did not want to do the wrong thing. I sent in my letter of intent, one copy to the school, and I mailed one to the district.
