    You’re invited to Homeschool Day at the CT Science Center!

    Join us for a preview of Bodies Revealed: Celebrate the Wonder of the Human Form

    Join other Homeschool teachers and students for a day full of fun and learning. Experience the Science Center in a safe and social atmosphere and take advantage of the many educational resources we have for you and your children. Bodies Revealed celebrates the human body and gives you and your family an informative view on how it works. Sign up for our Discovery Center Lab program to learn with other Homeschool students in a classroom setting.
    Thursday September 19th, 2013!

    Theme: Bodies Revealed
    General Admission 9am – 5pm

    FREE Admission and $5 Parking with Membership
    $9 for Homeschool Families, regular parking rates apply.
    Includes all day admission to the Connecticut Science Center.

    Discovery Center Lab Program 9:45am, 11:00am & 1:00pm

    45 Minute Lab with our Staff Scientists
    $6 per student and adult. Space is limited so please pre-register or sign up on arrival
    (Please note student or group of students must be accompanied by an adult)

    Complex organisms need specialized structures and systems to survive. Investigate how the organ systems of your body work together to support life. Discover how the cells of your body receive the oxygen and nutrients that they need, and how your body deals with the waste products.

    Let’s do Lunch! 12:00pm till 1:00pm

    Our Community Room is available for you and your family to bring in your own lunch and meet other Homeschooling teachers and families; or you can purchase soups, salads and sandwiches in our Café at any time.
    Café Hours -11:00am – 4:00pm

    Exhibit Gallery Programs: Ongoing throughout the day 11am-4pm

    (Registration not required)
    Interact with our staff as they demonstrate some exciting live science experiments.
    Stuffee - Take a look inside Stuffee, a giant stuffed doll, to learn all about the circulatory system, the respiratory system, and the digestive system.
    Listen to your Heart - Listen to the sound of your heartbeat and take your heart rate and blood pressure to get a picture of your health.
    Glowing microbes - Are you a good hand washer? Test your family and friends in a feat of hand washing to see who can get rid of all the germs.

    3D Movies

    Experience Science on the big screen in our state of the art 3D theater.
    $5 per ticket
    40 minutes of 3D science fun!
    All of our 3D movies are appropriate for ages 8 and up.
