    Default planner question

Hi we are new! My question is regarding the start date. Would it be the date we started T4L or his first day of public school since he's already completed over half a year there? Thanks!

Here are detailed instructions for using the planner.

The start date will be the first day you intend for your student to do lessons with Time4Learning. The planner takes all the material and distributes it evenly over your chosen date range.

If you are starting mid-year, you probably don't want him to do the entire year's worth. You can select certain activities, start halfway through, do only the first half of the year, or however you wish.

Some families do not use the planner at all. They have their student take each chapter test first. If they score well on the test, they do not do the lessons in that chapter. If they do not score well on the test, they do the lessons in that chapter and try the test again. In this way, the student is only studying material they do not already know.

We hosted a webinar about starting mid-year. It is available on YouTube in recorded form. Here is a link to it, if you are interested in watching. Starting Homeschooling Mid-Year

Mom of six . . . current students and homeschool graduates. Enjoying using Time4Learning since 2006!
