Here is a link to some of the homeschool support groups in Hawaii. There is a lot of really good information on homeschoolmom's website. It might be a good idea to pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and spend some time on that site. She has an overview of the state laws, support groups, answers questions about testing. I found it very informational.

Thanks for offering to meetup with jadyad56. Hopefully the two of you meeting will develop into a local group forming. TO me, meeting with other homeschoolers is the most important resource we have.

I think we all get so busy in our lives as moms and teachers and friends and wives and all the roles we play that we forget to come back to the forums. But the forums are always here when we need the support.

Default looking for homeschooling support group

    Aloha,
I'm thinking about homeschooling my sons who are 3 and 6. The older son is attending Waldorf school Kindergarten right now, but we may pull him out next year. I'd love to meet homeschooling families.

Welcome to time4learning and the Parent Forums. I suggest that you look through the old threads, especially the first few that have resources listed. You will probably find local support groups there. To me, a good support group is the best resource for homeschoolers.

    Default secular moms group?

I saw there was a post on here about finding some secular homeschooling groups. I'm very interested. Have one child of preschool age and a baby as well. I'm definitely considering homeschooling and would love to find a support/resource group.
