Default Writing Lessons? What do you do?

    Hi Everyone~

I was just looking thru all my subjects that I have for my boys and I realized that writing is the subject that gets put off the most! I have tried Writing Strands and my boys loved the finished the story assignments but I hate to say we didn't go much further than that. We recently signed up for time4writing and the boys seem to love it. I still sit by the youngest to make sure he is getting it. But overall he and the older son like it much more than the other assignments that I have come up with.

What are you doing for writing with your kids?

Hi Michelle, we do journaling and copywork. VERY sparingly, but a little goes a long way. We also have used Time4Wriiting and it was by far the BEST curriculum I've ever used. I also used Writing Strands and though it was okay it wasn't anything like Time4Writing. I hope this helps;-)

Thanks, we like the time4writing as well and bonus for me I don't have to teach it! Just wondering if I needed to find more writing activities for the boys, that was the subject that they were behind in their testing last year.
    thanks again
