    Default graduation

If my student is able to finish all the high school requirements in less than 4 years are they allowed to graduate early? Tennessee state law says that for public school they are required to go for 4 years so I did not know if this would impact my student or not.

So, I contacted the Department of Education in Tennessee. Today, I received a reply from the director of school choice, Marcy Tidwell (Marcy Tidwell’s contact information is: [email protected] and her Office #: (615) 532-6274, if you would like to speak with her directly); her answer to this question is as followed: Early graduation is allowable for public as well as private and home school students. You will just want to be sure that all high school credits are clearly documented on your child’s transcript that you create.
I hope this helps to answer your question J

Also, here is a link to a Great site with tons of free resources for creating your child’s transcript, etc.
