      Hi there and welcome!

First thing is know the laws. I generally refer to HSLDA (Homeschool Legal Defense Assoc.) to keep me informed. Here are the laws for Kansas:

      Kansas Homeschool Laws

Check with the school board to see if you can keep your IEP in place, even if you choose to homeschool. I'm honestly not sure, but I know some people have kept a public school IEP for things like speech therapy while they homeschooled. All of their instruction was done at home, but they met with the speech therapist at the public school.

I would also suggest visiting our Homeschooling in Kansas page. It has some more information about the laws, as well as some links for resources, support groups, etc.

Feel free to post any questions you have here...and keep us posted how things are going with you!

Hi graciesmommy... I'm sorry that I just saw this...

I tried all of the links and they are ok. Are they still not working for you?
