    Default Mastered vs Completed

What's the difference between the two? DD was trying to take a math quiz but wasn't able to do it. She was able to take the chapter quiz though and then got a "mastered" on the lesson. Does she still need to take the quizzes? TIA!

Completed means she has done all the lessons in the section. Mastered means she has completed and understands the material.

Answer from a T4L admin that states:
CompassLearning has stated that, for the lesson icons to be marked "Mastered", the student needs to score seventy percent or higher on the chapter test.
Lesson activities on your student's reports are marked "Mastered" only if they achieve a score of eighty percent or higher. (The reports are available in your student's portfolio, within the backpack icon.)
The newer, highly animated lessons without separate "Quiz" and "Test" icons at the bottom of the page don't get the "Mastered" or "Completed" designation at all . . . but the star icons will spin when the lesson has been completed.
