What is 4-point check?
When doing the PAL Writing program with my first and second graders, it keeps referring to doing the 4-point check. What exactly is that? I cannot find it anywhere in the teacher's manual. Is is used when writing sentences.
I'd appreciate any help.

Are you referring to IEW's PAL? This is a forum for questions regarding T4L, but I will give it a shot. The 4-point check poster is located on page 5 of the Primary Arts of Language: Writing, Part III Student Book.
It says:
4-Point Check
1. Capitals
2. Spacing
3. Punctuation .?!
4. Does it make sense?ds Doodlebug 11yo

Thanks Mandy. I was wondering if we had added somethig since my son was in second grade. It does sound like a good way to evaluate your sentence structure.
