    Red face new to homeschooling as of 12-27-13

    hi, I was wanting to know does anyone know if in Louisiana if I need to go in school to sign form I have already registered my nonpublic school and sent certified letter to the principal I am hoping I don't have to go to school lol but want to make sure ..thanks

    As far as I know you do not have to go to school, you can request your child's records via mail. However, if you need to pick up work already done, turn in books, things like that you will have to go.
    I don't blame you for not wanting to go. When I pulled my child out in the middle of the year, (after having been a very, very active parent, helping in the class, doing class prep work for the teachers, etc) I got a very cold reception from the people in the office because I decided to homeschool. It was uncomfortable to say the least. Good luck!
