Red face Waldorf, MD w/ Twin 11 year old boys - Friends & T4L questions

    Hello,

We are new to T4L but I'm optimistic hoping this will be a great transition for my now middle school boys. They are a bit concerned about not having friends to talk to or play with anymore. Is there anyone in my area with boys around this age?

Also, I'd like to talk to experienced T4L parents. I heard a couple of horror stories about homeschool children having to stay back a grade because they were somehow not in accordance with state regulations or something.

How can I be sure that my kids are on track in the correct grade if I decide to put them in public or private school next year?

    Thanks!

I would make sure to check and comply with your state's homeschooling laws. I would also join a local support group. Those may be on or offline.

    Hi There-
You should check into "The Common Core Curriculum Standards" for the boys' grade levels and for the courses they are taking. The Standards are easily accessible on the Maryland State Dept. of Ed. Website...linked here

    Best Wishes!
