    Default Common Core

I read through other posts on the forum and was confident that T4L wasn't using Common Core, yet I just found out the Odyssey reader promotes itself as using it.

I am now concerned that we're being told one thing, and the reality is another.

Hi, Chrissy. The curriculum used by Time4Learning has always EXCEEDED common core standards. Time4Learning made no changes to the curriculum to satisfy the common core, and they don't report to any third parties. Because the curriculum is so thorough, it probably satisfies pretty much anyone's standards.

Since Compass markets to schools, they want the schools to know the curriculum can be used to satisfy common core standards, but that doesn't mean it was designed to do so.

Probably a lot of homeschool textbooks "accidentally" satisfy common core standards, too.

Mom of six . . . current students and homeschool graduates. Enjoying using Time4Learning since 2006!
