    Default LA Extension - confusing

Hello, my 5th grader will be beginning this journey tomorrow and I was just looking over the LA extension. The first activity talks about scanning and interpreting "the book you have chosen." To be honest, I can't find where it tells you to choose a book! What am I missing? What book is supposed to be analyzed? Thanks for your help!

The previous activity in that lesson begins with, "Look at any textbook, magazine, or newspaper . . ."

It's assumed that the student will have that item handy to refer to during the entire lesson.

Mom of six . . . current students and homeschool graduates. Enjoying using Time4Learning since 2006!

Thanks, Kelly - I actually assumed that but thought it just read "newspaper" when I glanced over it - didn't notice it said "any book" too.
