Default What do the letters "ILA" stand for in Language Arts?

Just out of curiosity...my son is in Grade 3 Language Arts and I noticed that after Chapter 4 all the Chapter's are referred to as "ILA". What do the letters "ILA" stand for?

This means that based on one theme, there are lessons about vocabulary, reading comprehension, phonics (in the younger grades), reading fluency, and grammar.

    Default Thank you for answering

it was driving me crazy not being able to figure out what ILA meant. You have no idea how many different things could fall into the ILA description. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity!
