School supply reminder
Homeschoolers sometimes overlook the "back to school" sales because their school years run differently.
Don't miss this opportunity to stock up on things you will need. Remember that a notebook that costs 15-40 cents now, might cost as much as $2 in January.

If you are new to homeschooling and don't really know what supplies to buy, consider checking out a local school's supply list for the grade your child is in.

A basic list for us is: (my child is in 5th/6th grade)
Lots of notebooks
Lots of loose leaf paper
Construction paper
Folders
Binders
Pencils (lots and lots of them)
Pens
Compass
Protractor
Ruler
Scissors
Pencil boxes
Crayons
Markers
Color pencils
Printer Paper
Dry erase markers

I could go on and on, but that is a pretty basic list that we get every year. Also, remember to keep the receipts...homschool supplies can be tax deductible (check with your tax preparer).
