    Exclamation New to Homeschool

Hi. My son is in the 6th grade. I'm new to home schooling. He just does not want to pay attention. He will watch the math videos and click on anything. He's failing everything. I have to make him retake them sometimes 3 times before he passes them. He has been diagnosed with adhd. I feel it goes deeper than this. Seems like he doesn't care to me. Help! I don't know what to do.

Hi, Brandi. When my kids were younger, I sat with them while they did their lessons. I stopped doing that regularly some time during third grade, but I wonder if that might help your son, given his ADHD diagnosis?

There is a special needs section on this parent forum. Why don't you post down there, too? There might be some parents who are experiencing the same kind of thing.

Meanwhile, here is some general information about using Time4Learning with a student who has ADHD.

Mom of six . . . current students and homeschool graduates. Enjoying using Time4Learning since 2006!
