Red face New to Home Schooling

    Hello Everyone!
I am new to T4L and I am new to home schooling!!! My daughter is 11 and we have decided to go for it!!! We are from Illinois.

I thought one of the first things we should do is check out a few groups and familiarize ourselves with the somewhat "culture" of home schooling.
I am nervous and a little scared I won't be sufficient but I am at a place with the public school system that I feel I can do a better job than they regardless of the fact that I am not "certified".
I look forward to hopefully meeting people in my area who also home schooling, and also getting useful ideas and suggestions from all who are home schooling.

    Welcome to Time4Learning.

Stop by the Illinois forum to check out what is going on in your state. You do not have to be certified to be a mom and you have been teaching your child since they where born.

You will do fine. Check out the How to Home School Guide to get a jump start on your adventure.
