Hi, Joanna. Welcome to Time4Learning. What do you mean by "zip issue"?

I mean, she will not zip her coat when asked to.

If it is unpleasant weather, she complains at being wet/cold so I tell her "well, zip your coat up then" but she just groans at that as well. At School, she isn't allowed out at break or lunchtime on days when its unpleasant unless she zips her coat, it is a rule that school must apply. Anyway, I have started the thread in the section titled 4th-8th grade section of forum so feel free to reply in the thread.

Another problem worth mentioning is her lack of independence. She will not walk to school alone or with friends, she wants me there so that she can hold my hand which she does every time that we go out?

Joanna, hopefully things will improve with her wanting to be by your side at all times. She is only 7. Maybe she just needs time.
