*WHAT DO YOU SEE? How to enjoy art with your child

Join the KMA Education Department staff in lively discussion and playful
activities that highlight techniques and strategies for engaging young
children in a love of art. We will tour the exhibition *The Art of
Contemporary Puppet Theater* and talk about how to tap into children’s
innate curiosity and excitement, how to guide verbal expression, and how to
approach a tricky topic or image.

*April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25, 1:00 – 2:00 pm*

In this eight-week course, 3-5 year old children and their adult partners
will explore the wonderful world of puppets. Clay, fabric, wood, sequins,
and feathers will be used to create puppets, costumes, and stage sets.

*Prepaid registration required. Ages 3 to 5 with an adult. Younger
siblings are not permitted.*

Children of all ages and family members are invited to listen to stories
followed by a special hands-on art activity. On March 6, join Nikki
Alexander, local puppet maker, as she shares her hand-made queen puppets.
