Default North Carolina State Educational Links, and Homeschool Resources

    Hello everyone-
I am very proud to open up this resource guide to help everyone find support from all over the state of North Carolina. I will be updating this post as I receive more support groups permission to add their websites to this post. So check back with me often to see if I have found a support group near you. Or if you know of one and I do not have it listed send me an email so I can contact them!

    Happy Homeschooling!

This is a link for anyone needing some DL info, if any of you know of any local teaching class please post them below

Here is the link I found for you to see what they say about drivers permits, etc. State of North Carolina - Department of Administration.
If it still isn't clear call the NCDNPE at (919) 733-4276 (only number I can find for them) they are usually pretty helpful.
This is a link for FAQ on driver's education that might be helpful
State of North Carolina - Department of Administration

here are some links for teaching programs as well

    Driver Education Courses

Driver Ed in a Box® Driver Ed in a Box® is a parent taught driver education course offering both classroom and in-vehicle phases. This course offers interactive CDs, audio CDs, and a DVD. They also include a Parent Companion with instructions and information to assist you during the training of your new driver.

    National Driver Training
National Driver Training is a nationally certified program that offers parent taught driver education materials. Their approach is Graduated Driver Licensing, beginning with classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training, and moving into additional hours behind-the-wheel. They measure achievement and graduation on performance skill and experience, not on a training clock.

Hi Liz;0) you should be able to talk to your local school about how you can get that help. They will probably refer you to the NC Dept. of Non-public Education for more help

Hello! This is my homeschool information list for the greater Charlotte area. Although it is Christian based, anyone is welcome to join if they do not mind religious postings. Currently, I think it has the most information flowing through it for that area and is very active - often 25 posts or more a day.
CCHNet : Charlotte Christian Homeschool Network

I also keep lists of other support groups and lists for Charlotte and am willing/able to help direct folks to resources that they need. I have lived in NC for 6 years and have homeschooled for 20+.
