Question Sports for homeschooled kids in Henderson County

My sons main interests are sports-oriented. I have been unable to find any leagues and such he can join to supplement what we do. While, he could not make a high school team, he would love to play basketball or volleyball. Our church does not have any leagues, etc. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places. I also have considered Boy Scouts for him. I actually incorporate some things from my old Boy Scout Handbook in his lessons.
Anyone have any info on these?
    Any help would be great.
    Thank you.

Hi Tom! I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time finding a sports program for your son. In a brief search (because I'm not in that area so I'm not sure of what resources are available first hand) I did find some information on HCHA. I'm not sure if it will have what you're looking for or not, but I wanted to give you what I found.

Also, on the subject of Boy Scouts. I do not currently have a Boy Scout, but my oldest son will be crossing over to Boy Scouts in a few months. It may not fulfill the sports interests your son has, but I think it's definitely worth looking into. My husband and I are very involved with our Cub Scout Pack (on the leadership committee) and see the benefits it offers to our sons.

I hope you are able to find something that your son enjoys!
