One thing I have my kiddos do each fall is keep a "Fall Journal". We go on a nature walk so they can write their observations about what they see and hear, and we may add pictures, drawings, leaf rubbings, etc. Maybe a fall poem that caught their eye, or a spooky Halloween story they made up...lots of possibilites...We decorate the cover with some cool artwork, too. It's fun to compare last year's journal, or the year before, and see what has changed, and how their writing has improved or things like that. They look forward to it every year!

Tell us what fall traditions you have in your homeschool - maybe we could start some new ones!
