We often talk about all the reasons why we love homeschooling. We can make long lists of the good things involved. But we don't often talk about the frustrations we face in homeschooling. So I thought this would make a good topic of conversation here in the forums. What do you find frustrating about homeschooling in Rhode Island?

For me, understanding the law here is frustrating in itself. The way the law is written makes it really hard to sort through and find out just what exactly you have to do to legally homeschool. Also the fact that individual school districts can impose more restrictions if they choose to such as requiring you to have an end of the year evaluation or requiring testing. But most school districts do not do this.

How do you feel about homeschooling in Rhode Island? What have your experiences been?
