Default Autism/Animated Lesson Withdrawal - help!

We are having a painful transition from 2nd grade to 3rd grade. It seems like such a huge jump! Does anyone else have this problem? We miss the animated lessons!!!! Is there another online school similar to Time4Learning that might have these types of lessons that we would use in addition to this curriculum? I feel like I'm just having to plow through the lessons with him.

My son is 9, and did 2nd grade twice in the public schools. He has autism. He can read and speak in full sentences. We have done Time4Learning in summers up to this point, and now are homeschooling full time.

    Hi!
    I'm
having a similar issue. We've been with T4L for going on two years
now and we love it. We were fine up till now but this year my
youngest, who is on the spectrum, can't do the 3rd grade LA so I had
to keep him on the 2nd grade but the 2nd grade LA, like the phonics
and stuff, are so babyish that he won't do them! They really talk to
you like you are 5 years old and he's 9!
What do you do when 3rd
grade is too hard but 2nd grade is too babyish?

We are still struggling through. At this point we are doing 2nd grade math, LAX and 3rd grade LA. We skipped ahead in the LA curriculum to the section on Families and its going much smoother than first part of the curriculum so you might try that. For science and social studies we are using BrainPop Jr, which he loves. You can do a free week and try it out.
