Default Summer tutoring vs Summer sessions

My son is in 9th grade and his high school told him to receive tutoring for science over the summer. What are the pros and cons of doing this vs signing up for a summer course?

Since "ninth grade science" can mean something different in each school, you should find out the areas he needs help with. Then, access the lesson plans and choose the appropriate lesson activities.

T4L pros: Usually far less of a time commitment, flexible schedule, activity selections tailored to your specific student's needs, and many students prefer online work.

"Summer course through the school" pros: Course may be based on your child's school's specific science curriculum, some students need accountability if "having" to be at school at a certain time, and sometimes provided free (but not always).
