Smile Activity planner and activity scheduler

Okay is there a difference between the activity planner and scheduler? I hear people on the forum talk about planning schedules on the activity planner. I have tried working with the "Activity Schedule" but it does not let me modify much at all. For example, weeks off like Christmas and spring break? So it puts the whole calendar out of whack! lol ALSO does this planner import the assignments into the childs backpack assignments?
Believe it or not this is my 3rd year using TFL but I have been using other methods for planning.
    Help please

This is my first year with T4L, but I also would like to know how to get the assignments into the back pack. I used the activity scheduler to figure out what my son needs to do each week, but would like for him to be able to see what he needs to do each day rather than me looking at the sheet I printed and have to tell him after each activity.

The Time4Learning program provides members with a full year’s worth of curriculum that is laid out in a suggested sequence with lessons building on each other. The program prompts your child to move from lesson to lesson marking them off as they are completed. Since the program is self-paced, you can decide how many lessons your child completes each day. The assignments function is used by teachers in schools and only allows them to assign one lesson at a time to their entire class. Since Time4Learning is a home-based curriculum, the assignments feature is not functional for home use.
To help with lesson planning, Time4Learning has designed an activity scheduler that can be used to figure out how many lessons to do per week, and can be accessed through the parent administration page. The activity scheduler allows you to break down the curriculum week- by-week into an easy to follow plan that can be printed out and saved in PDF form. Each activity is assigned a learning a learning activity number (LA#) which will be included on the generated schedule. The student can then type this LA# into the activity finder on your child’s launch page which will take them directly to the activity.

Are you KIDDING me? You can simply choose assignments and put them in the backpack for home use?????? That is absurd and unacceptable for a computer based curriculum. How can I use this effeciently on my own if you can't simply place the assignment into the backpack? Am I missing something? Is this something you are adding? I am flabbergasted.
