    Default shockwave problem

No matter what computer I use.. with various operating systems and various browsers we are receiving the same error when trying to access the graphing tool in Algebra. It just keeps telling me to download a newer version of shockwave. I have done that on every machine in the house and even went and un installed previous versions and reinstalled older versions.. still no help. We also disabled our virus protection. Any advice on this would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks

    Default Re: shockwave problem

When you updated to the newer version of Shockwave, you would have needed to "Run" it; not "save" it. If you're not sure you've done that, please click here to try updating the player again.

If you are still experiencing the issue, please follow the instructions below to better troubleshoot your problem. If at anytime you would like to test your Shockwave Player you can do so here.

    Older operating systems or browsers

If you have an older computer or browser, it may not be able to handle the most up-to date Shockwave add-on. You will need to update your browser to either Internet Explorer Version 7 or Firefox Version 3 .

XP User or did your download ask you to reboot your computer after the download?

If your download asked at anytime for you to reboot your computer your download did not work. If this is the case then you will need to uninstall and then reinstall your Shockwave. Windows users and Mac users have different requirements when uninstalling applications so please make sure you follow the directions within the links. Once you have uninstalled the Shockwave please try to reinstall it.

Click Here to reinstall Macromedia Shockwave

Instead of selecting "Agree and install now" select the option "Different operating systems or browser?" Fill in the required criteria and install. Remember to run the software not save it and do not reboot.

    If all else fails :

You can download an Authorware Web Player which offers online learning applications and has been shown to assist those who have trouble downloading Shockwave on their computers.
