    This may sound silly, but what does dd, dh, etc stand for?

    no not silly at all. Here are some of the commonly used abreviations. Hope they help If you need more just ask
    DD= darling Daughter
    DS=Darling son
    DH=Darling husband
    DGD/DGS Darling granddaughter/son
    IMHO=In my honest or humble opinion
    LOL=laugh out loud
    IDK=I don't know

    dss or ss .....darling stepson
    dsd or sd .....darling step daughter
    hs ..... homeschool
    ps .... public school
    omg ..... oh my God
    ykm ...... your kidding me
    ty....... thank you

    Duh! Ok, I get it now. Those would've never occurred to me. Probably because here lately, it's rare that I have a day when I would refer to my children as darling. lol-I knew that one.

    Well, Stacey, it can also mean "darn".

    I like the fact that it can be either one (darn or darling).......
    that way you just don't know which one you're talking about! Like an inside joke....

    My husband says that dh stands for "Duh Husband."
