Default interested in T41 for supplementing

I have an unmotivated learner who will be a HS freshman next year. She doesn't want to be homeschooled because she really enjoys the social aspects of school, the arts electives and the extracurricular activities.
I have a few questions regarding using T4L to supplement and hopefully "prime" her brain for classroom instruction:

-I'm assuming we can start now with a HS curriculum as if we were at the start of a regular school year?

-What is the course progression and pacing like? For instance, if her HS biology class tackles in September a topic that would only be addressed at the end of the T4L class, can she skip ahead and study that module? Conversely, can she come back to something she studied earlier for reinforcement because the timing matches what she's learning in class? Or is there a set order you have to follow?

-Let's say she gets "behind" on T4L because she's too busy. Is there a time limit for completing courses or can you take as long as you want since it's a monthly subscription?

-Is it possible to switch courses whenever you want? For instance, let's say that she's assigned a novel in 9th grade that's covered in T41 English Year 2. Can she switch to that course from English 1 to study that module and then come back to Year 1? Or let's say, again, that she gets busy and doesn't cover all of year 1. Can she just go on to Year 2 the next year?

    Thank you.

    Hi, Heidi!

-I'm assuming we can start now with a HS curriculum as if we were at the start of a regular school year? Yes, you may begin at any time.

There is a suggested sequence, but people who are using T4L as a supplement often do lessons out of order. The sequence is entirely up to you. You can use the lesson plans within your parent login to locate appropriate lessons. Then, input the lesson activity number into the Activity Finder to access it. (There is a video about the Activity Finder within your parent login.)

-Let's say she gets "behind" on T4L because she's too busy. Is there a time limit for completing courses or can you take as long as you want since it's a monthly subscription? It's month to month. You can do as much or as little as you like during the month you've paid for.

Yes, you can change courses as often as you like. There is no requirement to "complete" anything before moving on to something else, and you can change again later. Just log in to your parent account and make the change. It will be reflected in your student's lessons within 24 hours.

    Hope this helps!

Mom of six . . . current students and homeschool graduates. Enjoying using Time4Learning since 2006!
