Default Science and math in 7th and 8th grades

Hi! my name is Diana. I just discovered T4L earlier this week. I was looking at the scope and sequence and didn't see any science listed in 7th and 8th grades. Do the science lessons stop after 6th grade?

Also, is the algebra math an advanced replacement over the 8th grade math that's listed?

    Thanks, Diana

My son just started T4L and though he should be entering the 8th grade in September, I requested he begin with a 7th grade level. There is a science level for 7th and 8th grade even though it is not listed in the lesson plan. As for the algebra, I do not believe it replaces 8th grade math. However, there is a lot of overlapping math concepts in the 7th and 8th grade math. If you find that 8th grade math is not challenging enough for your child, I would imagine that you could move on to algebra. If my son breezes through 8th grade math after completing the 7th grade math, he will definitely begin algebra. Of course, we will have to take it a step at a time and play it by ear.
