Right now we are working on Viking lapbooks, after that we are going to start working on a weather unit using 4-H materials. So, I was wondering, what are you doing that you LOVE right now? Maybe it will give us all some inspiration.

We have been busy moving so not any extra projects going on around here for quite awhile. We're lucky to just get through T4L lessons and doing some reading. Sitting on the shelf though I have a few of those Evan-Moor history pocket kits we plan to use at some point. My daughter has done two in the past and loved them.

We're doing that body project with Slim GoodBody (I have a tape) where you trace your kid's body and cut it out and hang it up. The tape has 15min. lessons on all the different parts. We watch each part and do some activities and then we color and cut out the body part (heart, lungs, etc.) and glue it onto the body. We learn at least 3 facts about each part. I used to do this with my kids at school and they always LOVED it......now my son is really enjoying it as well; he keeps pointing out the parts on the paper him and then pointing to his own body and is actually remembering the names of the parts....we're naming them in both English and Spanish....the only other thing we're really into just now is mazes....we do one every day and my son is getting really good at them!! deni........

We did that a few years ago with a co=op class that I taught! It was great and the kids loved it.

I think ours may have been a slightly different version though. Yours sounds so much simpler! We used cotton filled sandwich bags for lungs, a small red (slightly blown up) balloon for the heart, long pieces of nylons for intestines, etc. It was a great visual but it was so difficult to get some of the items to stay attached to the paper!

I may have to do this unit again with my youngest since you reminded me of it!

I have book (teacher's guide I think) that goes with the tape....it has blackline masters of all the parts to color, cut out and glue.....your stuff sounds interesting....though I wouldn't want to have to do that with 30+ kids in a classroom! *LOL*
