I posted on the forum but no reply yet. I will be homeschooling soon and I need help. My son attends kindergarten in a public school right now. He will not return for first grade. His school is a magnet school 1st-5th. Kinder is not. He did not get into the magnet program so I had to enroll him in a different school for first grade. But since I will be homeschooling, I did not enroll him in a school. So my question is, who do I need to norify that I will be homeschooling and he will not return to public school??? School is out in 2 weeks so I'm not sure if I have to norify his currents school, which he will not have attended next school year anyway, or just fill out the paperwork. Please help.

Tribute to Homeschooling Dads by Rhonda Miller

by five_blessed on 06-11-2010 at 03:00 AM

Most people assume that moms are the ones that take on the primary role as educator in homeschooling families. While that might be the norm, there are many dads out there that are either sharing, or taking over the responsibility of primary educator. Why? Many fathers simply want to be more involved with

The Case of Curiosity! by Rhonda Miller

When is the last time you saw a television show offering a look into the lives of homeschoolers? While it's possible to catch a glimpse of what a homeschooling day might resemble, there's not much on television that offers a true look into the lives of homeschoolers. And let's face it, not many people that are not interested in homeschooling will go out and purchase a magazine or book to learn more.

The Best Part of Waking Up

Ahh! The smell of freshly brewed coffee first thing in the morning is hard to beat! I certainly love my java as I greet each new sunrise. As I sip, I reflect on the beauty of creation all around me. The birds sing, the squirrels dart here and there, and the beautiful sights of farm life abound. Morning is my quiet time! It's a time to ponder on the blessings that God has continually showered over my life.
