Hello fellow parents! I am a new member with Time 4 Learning, and I am hoping this is the resource I have been searching for. I have 3 daughters who all attend public school, and each have very unique learning styles. My middle daughter Kelsey is an auditory kinesthetic learner, and reading has been a struggle.

I have battled all that I can with the school system to help me work with Kelsey to gain self confidence and strength in her decoding skills. Everyone is "on board" for the first week or so, and then she falls through the cracks.

I am a full time working mom, so I am hoping my supplementing her education will help bridge the gap. I am still learning how to navigate through this website, but thus far, I am finding a lot of valuable information.

Recently recovering from oral surgery, so hopefully I can learn all of the parameters while I am at home recouping.

The Season of Thankfulness

by Dee on 11-08-2012 at 11:03 AM
If you spend any time on Facebook at this time of year then you have probably seen the posts. From the first day of November to Thanksgiving day, people share what they are thankful for. I think this is a wonderful tradition. Maybe we can take it one step further?? How about we challenge ourselves to find something to be grateful EVERY day of the year? I think I'm going to give myself that challenge for the new year.

In the mean time, this was my post for today:

Struggles, Disappointments, and Concerns... You are NOT alone!
by Jamie

So, hows it going dear friend? Is your homeschool experience this year turning out the way you expected? Are the children happy, healthy, and learning? Is it a perfect world? Does it ever go the way you expected it would go? NEVER… BUT… you aren’t alone!
Every last one of us has a struggle with

Hurricane Sandy

by fairylover on 11-02-2012 at 08:00 AM
As most of you know Hurricane Sandy came to pay a visit this week. I started out on Saturday stressing about my friend who lives in Jamaica. I finally heard from him late Sunday evening. He and his family came through the storm okay. He wouldn't go in to any detail about damage or anything. But no loss of life and that was all that was important to him.

We started clearing our yard and porch on Saturday. On Sunday we finished putting away everything that might blow away. I debated
